Dan Deuel, Senior Pastor

Pastor Dan joined the St. Andrews ministry team in January of 2006 after graduating from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He is a native of the valley, having grown up in Elk Grove, CA. This is his first calling as a senior pastor to a local congregation. Pastor Dan has previous experience in youth ministry and short term missions. Pastor Dan loves to work with people, loves to see them grow in their faith, and enjoys developing their potential as servant leaders in our community.  He wants everyone in Stockton to experience the same joy, purpose, peace, and hope that he has found following Jesus Christ.

He enjoys playing guitar, reading, (almost) everything outdoors, and spending time with his wife and four children ages seven and under.

Tracy Krueger, Director of Family Ministry

Tracy joined the St. Andrews ministry team in October of 2005 after graduating from Concordia University in River Forest, IL. She was born and raised in Grafton, WI. She has previous experience in children and youth ministry and loves to work with children. Tracy loves to see children grow in their faith and share that faith with their family and friends. She also enjoys watching movies, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.

Bruce Kleinert, Director of Ministry Development

Bruce joined the St. Andrews ministry team in August of 2002 after serving St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tracy for 16 years. He's been serving in full-time ministry since 1975 and in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod since 1981 as a Director of Christian Education, Youth Director, Teacher, Preschool and Elementary School Administrator, Assistant to the Pastor, and now as a Director of Ministry Development. He desires all God's people to share their faith with their friends, family, and neighbors.  Bruce enjoys golden retrievers, photography, music, cars and spending time with family.

Ann Marie Rehbein, Deaconess

Ann Marie joined the St. Andrews ministry team in August 1993. Ann Marie is a graduate of the Deaconess program at Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and has received further training in Spiritual Direction. Consecrated and rostered as a Deaconess in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in June, 1981, she has served congregations in El Centro, Oceanside and Vacaville, California before moving with her family to Stockton in 1989. She enjoys travel, medical mission trips, camping and spending time with her husband and 4 children. She counts serving God and serving others an honor and a blessing.

Jon Townsend, Organist & Choir Director

Jon joined the St. Andrews ministry team in January 1998. He is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music with a degree in Organ Performance, and also studied at the Royal School of Church Music in Croydon, England during the summer of 1977.

Jon was an adjunct music instructor at San Joaquin Delta Community College in Stockton for 15 years and has worked at the college full time in various other capacities since 1981. Currently he is Professional Development Center Coordinator, leading professional development activities for college employees. He holds multiple certificates in training and staff development.

He is the director of the San Joaquin Ringers Community Handbell Ensemble, which rehearses at St. Andrews and plays for services several times a year.

In addition to musical activities and work at the college, Jon is in the process of restoring an 1895 Victorian home in Stockton’s Magnolia Historic District.
