Stockton is currently the 13th largest city in California with a dynamic, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural population of over 290,000. It is situated along the San Joaquin Delta waterway which connects to the San Francisco Bay and the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. Stockton is located 83 miles east of San Francisco, and 45 miles south of Sacramento, the capital of California. St. Andrews Lutheran Church has been a part of this community for 65 years and is committed to reach out and share the Gospel to this multi-ethnic and multi-cultural population. St. Andrews is committed to serving its community. Our members are actively involved in many parts of our community serving in various organizations and ways. We also have groups who: -Serve at St. Mary's Dining Hall in downtown Stockton on a monthly basis
-Provide seasonal events for the community at a local park. We often have 150-200 children, more when including their parents, join us during various events at East Weberstown Park on Kentfield St. just east of our location. -Collect food for the Emergency Food Bank and St. Andrews is the distribution center for San Joaquin County's Commodities Program.
![]() Good Shepherd Family
-Our Good Shepherd Family is one of the most special ministries in any community. Between 40-60 people with various disabilities and challenges come to our church every Saturday from September to May and have the opportunity to learn about faith, enjoy games and crafts together, enjoy a meal together, and feel welcomed and encouraged by our dedicated volunteers. This is a ministry everyone should experience.
