youth

Our Youth meet EVERY Wednesday evening at the church.

6:30pm - 8:15pm

In order to provide more consistent mentoring, time together, and study of God's Word we are moving youth group meeting from every other Sunday to every Wednesday at the same time as our junior high H2H program.  This will provide our youth and their Navigators (mentors) the opportunity to work through our youth's challenges and opportunities.

Upcoming Events:

We focus on mentoring our youth to be the future leaders we know God wants them to be. Our purpose is to instill purpose and confidence in our youth, purpose and confidence that comes from truly understanding God’s grace and mercy toward us.

In a world that can be such a struggle for our young people, we also emphasize God’s mercy: loving others without condition, encouraging life transformation, and bring restoration to the truly messed up areas of our lives (as well as the lives of others).

Sometimes we gather just to enjoy life together. Often we get together for service to our community and for personal growth. Whatever the reason, we are here to offer God’s mercy and to mentor others to grow with God.

Men

Why Men's Ministry?

In keeping with God’s word; “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2); the men at St. Andrew’s have taken up the challenge to not only strengthen our own faith but to teach and lead those in our families and communities into a deeper, closer relationship with Christ. We will do this through Christ-centered activities that will equip men with the tools needed to help build a strong Christian foundation for their families and communities.

Our H2H program has a three prong approach of Education, Service and Fellowship to nurture faith in the lives of our teens.

H2H Service Learning
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.” – Matthew 25:35
This year the youth are packing paper bags with a bottle of water, canned chili (with a spoon), a granola bar and napkins for members of the congregation to keep in their cars and hand out to someone in need to show that we recognize their need and that God loves them.
Bags will be available throughout the year and we will gladly accept donations of items to be packed. Contact Ann Marie with questions.

Fall 2012

Large Group Meetings Fall 2012 – Begin September 5 - November 14, 2012

Wednesdays 6:30-8:15pm with 10 Lessons on The Old Testament and 1 lesson of an overview of the Gospels.
We begin in the large group and in a participatory way learn the lesson for the evening.  Adult Guides and their small groups sit together for the large group meeting.  Each week we have a theme we discuss. Then we break for 30-35 minutes in small groups.  This allows time for faith sharing with the guides, in a smaller group. Then we return to the sanctuary for closing prayer, blessing and announcements.  We invite parents to join us at 8:05pm for the closing prayer, blessing and announcements.

Children

Nursery:

The Church Nursery, located in the entryway of the church sanctuary, is open every Sunday morning for all three worship services for children under the age of 3.  We ask that parents sign their child(ren) in and out of the nursery and label any personal belongings. We also have a pager system, which allows parents to be paged back to the nursery if their child needs them.

Worship Bags:

There are worship bags behind the last pew in the church sanctuary for children to use during the service. These bags include coloring pages, crayons, books, and more.  Pick out a bag each Sunday and then return it when the service is over so it can be used again and again.
