"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
As the body of Christ we are called to be God's witnesses. This happens in our daily lives as we live out our faith wherever any given day takes us. Sometimes the witnessing of our faith is more planned (like a short-term mission trip overseas or in the United States) with a specific goal and timeframe, while others take place over a longer period of time. We partner with several organizations beyond St. Andrews including Crossing Cambodia, The Sending Place, and Capstone Ministries.
School Families Update
This year we will collect an offering each week for "Crossing Cambodia." Through this ministry we will be sponsoring a child in Cambodia to provide meals and a chance to go to school. We are sponsoring a young boy named Hua who loves writing and looks forward to going to school. We hope to raise around $1500 this year through the children’s generous donations. Thanks for your support!
Ministries We Support
There are several great ministry organizations both in the United States and oversees with whom we have had the privilege to work over the past ten years.
The Sending Place
St Andrew's has partnered with "The Sending Place" for several years to equip the people in our congregation to serve the Lord in nations all over the globe. Visit their website for more information on the organization and upcoming trips.
Capstone Ministries - visit their website for more information.
Capstone Ministries was founded in 2005 with a vision to restore street children and their families in Kisumu, Kenya. Captstone Ministries believes that family is the divine structure God has designed for the rearing of children. Family provides the necessary protective environment in which chilren can grow and develop. More than 1,000 children live on the streets of Kisumu. They survive by begging and stealing, suffering from skin diseases, abuse from the public, poor nutrition and lack of sanitation. Capton's program begins by building relationships with these children where they are. Daily, the staff of Capstone are on the street showing these children the love of God in Jesus Christ. Through counseling and an ongoing outread program, the boys and reunited with their families.
The mission of Courage Worldwide is to build homes around the world for children rescued from sex trafficking. For more information on this exceptional organization visit their website.
