Overseas Mission Work

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
As the body of Christ we are called to be God's witnesses.  This happens in our daily lives as we live out our faith wherever any given day takes us.  Sometimes the witnessing of our faith is more planned (like a short-term mission trip overseas or in the United States) with a specific goal and timeframe, while others take place over a longer period of time. We partner with several organizations beyond St. Andrews including Crossing Cambodia, The Sending Place, and Capstone Ministries.

Crossing Cambodia

Find out about how we are partnering with Crossing Cambodia in the year to come..  For more information on the ministry you can visit www.crossingcambodia.org

Sunday School Families Update

This year we will collect an offering each week for "Crossing Cambodia."  Through this ministry we will be sponsoring a child in Cambodia to provide meals and a chance to go to school.  We are sponsoring a seven year old boy named Hua who loves writing and looks forward to going to school.  So far we have raised about $75.  Thanks for your support!

The Sending Place

St. Andrews has partnered with "The Sending Place" for several years to equip the people in our congregation to serve the Lord in nations all over the globe.  We encourage our members to prayerfully consider being trained and going on a mission overseas for the sake of Christ.  We believe our people return with a greater sense of purpose for their life, with greater confidence and ability to share their faith, and with a renewed fire for serving in our local community, not just at the ends of the earth.  Visit www.thesendingplace.com for more information on the organization and upcoming trips.

Capstone Ministries

“Capstone Ministries was founded in 2005 with a vision to restore street children and their families in Kisumu, Kenya.  Capstone Ministries believes that family is the divine structure God has designed for the rearing of children. Family provides the necessary protective environment in which children can grow and develop. More than 1,000 children live on the streets of Kisumu.  They survive by begging and stealing. They suffer from skin diseases, abuse from the public, poor nutrition and a lack of sanitation.  Capstone’s program begins by building relationships with these children where they are.  Daily, the staff of Capstone is on the street showing these children the love of God in Jesus Christ. Through counseling and an ongoing outreach program, the boys are reunited with their families. Visit www.capstoneministries.org for more information.
